It Takes A Lot to Teach Our Kids

Our teachers spend a lot of time and money on their classrooms outside what they get for grants or supply allowances.  We are compiling a list of supplies that are handy for our teachers throughout the year.  A teacher closet will be formed to help them out.  If you have resources, pick up an item or two.  Our teachers THANK YOU in advance for your donation!

What Does it Take to Throw a BBQ?

What does it take to throw a Back to School BBQ?  Right now, about 1,000 hotdogs, containers of mustard and ketchup, a ton of buns, plates, napkins, and oh, yes….watermelon.  We would love to have families donate cut-up watermelon to bring Tuesday, August 26 to the Back to School BBQ at Parkwood-Upjohn.  Sign-up on line at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a054bafaa2fa31-watermelons.  Bringing watermelon will make a kid smile and make our job easier!  Thanks!

Back to School BBQ – Tuesday, August 26

Back to School BBQ – August 26  4:30 – 6:30 pm

The Back to School BBQ provides parents and their students a chance to find out who their teachers will be before school starts on September 2.  Teachers will have class lists available.  Hotdogs and watermelon will be served.  Information tables will be at the event, highlighting the PTO and other school related organizations.

WE NEED WATERMELONS!  If you can provide cut up watermelon (with rinds for holding), please let Minchie Brockman know through Signup Genius.
